Pinwheels:

This artwork is inspired by the all time joyful kids toy, the pinwheel. In Mexico, it is common for street vendors to sell reguiletes at parks or other places with large gatherings. The physics at play in this simple toy are mesmerizing and alluring to all of us. We drew inspiration from the festival cultural history and tradition, and from the Metro station's site conditions. The main air vents from the station provided an unlimited air supply that feeds our reguilete inspired kinetic sculpture.

Esta obra de arte se inspira en el simple juguete Mexicano el reguilete. En México, es común encontrar este jugete con los vendedores ambulantes. Las propiedades físicas de este simple juguete son fascinantes y divertidas para todos nosotros.Tomamps inspiración en la historia y tradición cultural del festival, junto con las condiciones que presta este sitio de la estación de Metro. Las rejas del sistema de ventilación principal de la estación proporcionan aire ilimitado que alimenta nuestra obra de arte, creando una esculptura kinetica.
