Aphid - Aphidoidea [ey-fid-o-ahy-dee-uh] 

is a multi-disciplinary design and art studio,  led by Jesus Eduardo Magaña, Paulina Bouyer-Magaña. The studio creates site-specific art installations that engage people and enhance the built environment in public spaces through the exploration of concept derived by culture, site opportunities, materials, and interactivity. Inspired by public interaction and perception, their work has evolved to include visitor response, spectator interaction and art that responds to the site during the day and during the night. Their installations employ a variety of materials and applications as a response to its’ surroundings, because every location and condition is always unique.  From technology based to analogue applications, Aphidoidea seeks to blur the line between art, architecture, design, and technology.
